Integrating Sustainability Courses - Summer 2025
ISAC professor and student pairings for Summer 2025 have been announced.

Integrating Sustainability Across the Curriculum program at the University of Pennsylvania matches students with faculty working to introduce environmental sustainability into new and existing courses.
ISAC provides full funding for graduate or undergraduate summer research assistants, who work directly with faculty and lecturers to update or create new syllabi, lectures, assignments, texts, and/or tests that incorporate environmental themes.
In Summer 2025, EII is so pleased to announce these collaborations:
✔️ Phoebe Cunningham, a dual MD/MPH student, will be working on:
Master of Public Health curriculum, led by Hillary Nelson
URBSXXXX, Urban Climate Policy and Action, led by Julia McWilliams
✔️Natalie Glasgow, a MES student, will be working on: ENGL3353,
Advanced Nonfiction Writing - XFic, led by Jay Kirk
URBSXXXX, Urban Schools and Neighborhood Change, led by Julia McWilliams
✔️Ngaatwndwe Manyika, an undergraduate student within the School of Engineering, will be working on:
EAS2XXX, Energy Technology, Sustainability, and Policy Grand Challenges in 2030 and Beyond, led by Russell Composto ENGR5XXX,
Renewable Energy Technologies Lab, led by Lorena Grundy
(Courses above without course numbers are new courses that are being developed with support from the ISAC program.)
